
The Sailing Club is placed in the park of the city, in front of the
historical "Canale della Rocca" and the 13th century Fortress.
The inauguration of the Sailing Club as sport and athletic centre is
dated June 1934.

ORA: A breeze that comes in
from the South around midday and dies as the sun sets.
VENTO: A breeze that comes in from the North after midnight
and dies around midday.
ANDER: A stronger version of the ORA, blowing from South to
the East. If this breeze is still alive after sunset, the
weather is likely to change.
VENT DA MûT: A very strong and dangerous wind that blows,
without any warning, in the area between Toscolano and Gargnano.
It is usually the consequence of thunderstorms in the
surrounding mountains and is usually preceded by a complete calm
of wind.
BOAREN: A light breeze that blows from the Salò Valley
during summer evenings.
VINEZZA: A very strong ORA that blows in the southern part
of the lake and signals a change to bad weather.
MONIGA: A light breeze that blows in the bay of \ during
warm summer nights.
FASANELLA: A light breeze that blows after the ORA during
sunny days. |
