Pieve di Ledro... sabato 5 settembre... stamani gli equipaggi sono scesi in acqua alle ore 10.00 per disputare gli ultimi tre voli dei Round Robin di qualificazione. Un vento assai teso proveniente da Molina di Ledro spirava sul lago con raffiche anche a 10 m/s. Intorno alle 13.15 sono poi iniziate le semifinali e le finali con vento assai meno forte. Le finali conclusesi alle 15.30 circa consegnano l'oro a Jiulie Bossard (FRA), l'argento a Klaartje Zuiderbann (NED) e il bronzo a Anne Clarie Le Berre (FRA). Cristiana Monina (Club Nautico Roma) e' quarta. La gardesana Lorenza Mariani (V.C. Campione) e' settima. L'atleta di casa Anita Di Iasio (A.V.Lago di Ledro) e' undicesima. Grande la soddisfazione degli organizzatori, delle skippers e dei loro equipaggi che hanno potuto contare, in tre dei quattro giorni di regate, di condizioni meteo strepitose e di vento costante e ben disteso. Pieve di Ledro...Saturday September 5, 2009...10 AM: the last three Fly race sets of the Qualifying Round Robin are off to a start. Southeasterly wind powered the regattas today, from the direction of Molina di Ledro. Strong wind: steady, dry and cold, with gusts up to 10 meters-per-second. Semifinals and finals begin around 1:15 pm. And then. 3:30 pm: the competition's over. Time to award the prizes for the winners. This being an event which blends tradition with modernity; respect for nature with competition; the awards themselves were not presented as classic, opaque, solid, Gold, Silver and Bronze. Rather: streamlined and transparent glass trophies. The winning crew, skippered by Julie Bossard (FRA) finishes first. Second-place regatta finish for Klaartje Zuiderbaan and crew (NED). Third for Anne Clarie Le Berre and crew (FRA). Cristiana Monina and crew (ITA �?? V.C. Campione) take fourth. Lake Garda's Lorenza Mariani and crew (ITA - V.C. Campione) holding seventh. Eleventh place for the host organization's Anita Di Iasio and crew (ITA - A.V. Lago di Ledro). What a success: this edition. Weather conditions remained competition-friendly for the most part. Three days out of the event's four featured highly-sailable winds. So, the Trentino Women Match Race 2009 has wrapped. But there's no breather for the host association's President, Ms. Paola Mora, though. Tomorrow another event begins: the Campionato Nazionale Match Race Under 19 (Gr.3), to continue through Wednesday, September 9th.
